Lightbulb wanna start a project

well the title says it i wanna do something fun so i went and baught a 200sx body from a junk yard very good conditions just no motor first i thought of throwing a SR20DE in it but thats what everyone usually does. so i was wondering is it possible to throw a Altima engine the 2.4 engine in the 200sx or is it impossible thought it would be fun any suggestions...?? if possible what would this project consist of Motor Mount replacement axles ..??

Screw that, just throw a SR20VE in it, you'll end up with more power anyways

i work in a garage and have been looking at alot of custermers cars lately thinking of what else would fit into the b14. if youve got the time, funds and are willing to make the effort i think you can make the vg33de fit. just a thought, an its something that nobody has ever done. oh and the guy who does all the custom carbonfiber, i think hes scorch200sx . anyways he slamed a 02-03 sentra motor in his 200.

The SR20forums would probably have more of a database on the subject but I'm almost sure they will tell you that you should use one of the SR20VE or DE(T) series instead. And I'm in agreeance with them

the SR block (any) and (obviously) the GA block can be bolted into the 200, if you wanna put any other motor into it, you better be a really good fabricator, or you better have a lot of money to have someone else do it. If you're concidering a VG30DE, you need to convert everything including the firewall (it needs a hump for the tranny) And (unless you are really a good fabricator) you will always have problems w/ any swap of this type.

If you're really looking for something "crazy" to do that hasn't been done before...Build a USDM AWD sentra/200 w/ the BlueBird motor and AWD tranny. CORRECT me if Im wrong, but this STILL hasn't been done, has it??
I wanted to do this (still do, and one day will), but it is a sore subject amounst everyone in the forum's, just bring it up and see how much you get flamed LOL. I have put together some rough plans of what's needed, but I had to stop, because noone is willing to help out w/ any details, anyways as always good luck and happy fabbing!
