Hey guys my girlfriends 92 Sentra XE's #4 (far left) injector is clogged/died, so it needs replaced. I searched and found this thread http://www.nissanforums.com/ga16de-1...Fuel+injectors but they say to remove the fuel rail. I was wondering since I thought I could just take off the bolts on the injector and take it off, do I have to remove the fuel rail? Am I missing something else? Thanks
clogged injector? i think you can soak it in rubbing alchohol. it's recommended against for some reason, but your only alternative is replacing it so why not try. when you remove it, make sure the o-ring is not still inside the rail. makes it a pain when you try to reinstall. on a side note...if you need an injector for cheap, i have spares.

Yeah when she took it in for inspection they said it was bad, and tried to clean it, but didn't replace it, so I wanted to check other things like wires and such. Let me see how this other problem pans out with her loss of power and stalling, since she's thinking about just buying a new car now, but if she keeps it I will probably pm you about the injector, since I would trust it more than a junkyard one that I was gonna get.
