What happens if I disconnect my FICD?

What happens if you disconnect the FICD on a GA16De does the car not want to run, does it idle low or what? What about the AAC valve... do both of those need to be connected in order for the car to work properly, or run?

-Currently has a GA16DE with an intake, and it hauls ass.

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 4 door British Spec (right hand drive)
-3.9L 6 cyl with a 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission

2007 Dodge Caliber SXT US Spec
-1.8L 5spd, Mopar Headder (no it didnt' make a difference, the car is still slow as all get out)


Currently in Wiesbaden Germany.......
