Today i got my car dyno'd just for kicks. Damn i have never seen so many SR20DET's in one place before. Most of which were in 200sx SE-Rs and a few Datsun 510s.
I was satisfied with my numbers but was concerned with my air/fuel ratio the first and 2nd run. I got a 17.5 A/F ratio. I was running 91 octane just for kicks.
The very first run was not printed as it was a practice. The 2nd run i got really nasty pinging between 3000 and 4000 rpms which dropped my HP/TQ numbers. After that it gave me alright numbers.
My numbers seemed to improve as the tries continued. I maxed out at 94.4 HP with a max torque of 99.2 lbs on the third and last try. All this with the only real mod being a HotShot CAI.
The CAI really gives me better low and mid end power. The VTC point at 6250 i believe really drops the power.
I was running my 17" rims and tires, would this affect my numbers?? What does everyone think of my numbers??
yo tekno.........the torque number is good IMO......but if u topped out at 94HP with a 5speed and a CAI.that kinda sucks, i woulda thought u should have like 98ish or so, since most stock 5speeds put about 92whp
Heck, those are good numbers man. Considering you only have a CAI. I wonder what caused your pinging though. Oh, stock is 92? I dunno then...I forgot an manual gets higher hp than auto.

How much for the dyno typically, I want to get mine done after I get my CAI on this weekend or next to see what I'm getting, and to see what the difference will be when I eventually get the headers and other misc upgrades. thanks guys
Typically they can run between $50-$100 for 3 runs (no tuning). I paid $35 for 3 runs because it was a dyno day. You should really wait for those, you save money.
