97 sentra gxe 1.6: proper way to remove lower control arm
Hi, replaced CV joint half axle for right side.
Followed Haynes manual suggestions for disconnecting the lower control arm from steering knuckle and used the picklefork. I definitely damaged the lower control arm bolt seal in the process.
2 questions:
How important is it to fix this torn seal? Any hacks?
and
How to properly separate this? I noticed my left side outter cv boot is cracked too, so don't want to make the same mistake next time.
