My motor seized and now possibly a jdm ga16de????

Well last week after work I was on the way to a friends house when I noticed this stock prelude and some white rims. Well we were messing around for about half a mile and prior to this incounter my oil light was going on and off for the whole day. Every time I touched the gas the oil light would go on and when I let off the gas the oil light would go off. So when I got to work I checked my oil and it looked good. So i thought nothing of it but a little short I could have caused while installing my indiglo needles. Well by the time the prelude jumped to take off I TRIED to follow but of course the engine dies and I end up in a car wash place. It was self service and no phones. I ran up the street to the local jiffy mart and called my friend who's house I was going to to call me and pick me up.

Well I called a local engine importer and got some prices on GA motors. I can't afford a sr20de swap and so the only motors they have are jdm motors. Well I'm not exactly sure its jdm but my thoughts are they are jdm. I have a friend who bought his celica motor from there and his was jdm and when I was talking to the guy all he could tell me is that they were not exactly the same but it would fit. So I'm assuming it is a jdm ga16de. Well im getting it for $700 with about 30k-50k mileson it and I have to replace my front main seal and my rear main seal and a new water pump since the warranty doesnt cover over heating. I'm getting it installed for $300.

I searched for this topic and I read the few posts I found. I was wondering about the specs of the jdm ga16de motor. Can anyone give me some info? I also read they produce 130hp cause of the lack of emissions testing over there and the fuel they use, is this true? I also live in Florida so emissions is not an issue for me. Sorry if this is too long.

the only diffrence i noticed with my jdm is the exhaust manifold was diffrent so i had to use my stock one and had to plug a pipe coming out of it. it has no emmisions, some color diffrence on some plugs. and the starter that i got with my tranny was diffrent so i used my stock one.

ive been told they push 127hp and around 112 to the wheel. where the usdm gets 110 hp and about 95 to the wheel.

i only paid 450 for mines and i put it in with some friends. i got a deal of this guy that use to go to my school. it should take about 2 days with 10 hours of work in each. but mines took about 4 days cause i had to go to work 3 of those days. and i forgot to put a seal in one of my cv joints so i was leaking tranny fluid badly.

its handle great so far. although my temp gauge dont read and it didnt help that my radiator busted the day after i started driving it

Whose WHP numbers are quite a bit off. That would be flywheel HP.

Which whp numbers are off?

My temp gauge doesnt work now anyway cause when I installed my indiglow needles from import intelligence I never calibrated it right. but it doesnt over heat now. Then of course my engine is blown, so of course it doesnt over heat but I might want to fix my temp gauge needle incase something is wrong with the next engine. Thanx for the info the don.
