My roomate has them in his SE-R, there's not so much of a vibration increase as there is a noise increase, weird huh?

What kind of noise is it? I'm thinking about doing this mod soon. Thanks!

Thanks! I just ordered mine.

One question though, the site said free shipping but they charged me 5.75 anyway.
Any ideas how to get the free shipping offer?

Thanks
s

I would email them about it. Tell them their website says it is free, but you still got charged. Just remeber, be nice, that'll get you farther. I want the free shipping also, so keep us posted.

Urethane tends to squeak under a load. It can get pretty annoying if it squeaks all the time. Maybe you could grease the mounts before you install them. That might put a stop to the squeaks, at least for awhile.

Any pros or cons to this idea?

I can't think of any cons. Other than cosmetically it probably wouldn't look that good. I wonder if maybe some silicone might not be the ticket.

Good deal about the email. Hopefully they'll refund that money.

EDIT: If they try to give you a hassle about the money, you might mention that there are other people you know who are considering buying them. If they really want to run a good business, they should realize the effects of having a bad rep. But I doubt you're gonna have a problem. I know many people that have bought from them and have been quite happy with the service.

hey greg, if you want some, i will be parting my car soon and then i can send the front strut bar and mounts in the same box. the vibration isnt that bad, only when your stopped. when your moving, you dont notice anything different. the front ones are easy, they replace the rubber ones, the rear ones are somewhat of a pain, they are inserts. took me over an hour to get the damn things on. just use ALOT of lithium grease let me know if you want them.

i got them on my nx 1.6, they do make my car shake a lot more and when i do a slow start my hood rattles a little cause its not aligned right. (previous owner dented passenger side) but i would still get them on any car. u can do them all in one day. just make sure u have enough jacks and some ramps would help to give more room under the car.

i also helped my friend do them on his nx 2k and his car didnt shake as much as mines.

oh yea i got mines from summit racing for 62 with free shipping

Post Do it

They are a great mod. And for less than $40 are a great bang for the buck. We did Jerome's on his NX at my house in about an hour and a half start to finish. And you will have to grease them to get them installed!

Oh and the mount sdo not squeak. The control arm bushings do though is you don't lubricate them regularly.

It's not a squeeking noize or anything, it's more like slightly increased engine noise, which kinda makes sense since there's increased vibration.
