GA16DE in place of E13

hi,
i hav' a b11 which currently is running on an E13. Was wondering if it's possible that a GA16DE will bolt rite up to my car....without much modifications to the mountings...

also, assuming if this can be done, what else do i need to hav to make the swap possible??..thanx alot guys...

That would be a pretty involved swap. The trans is different, the motor mounts are all different, and you'd need to do some very intense wiring mods. Then there's the lack of an in tank electric fuel pump, return line, different axles, etc. etc. Too much work, not enough gain.

I'm going to bump this back up... The guy I sold my Pulsar to is considering an engine swap and we wandered a yard today with a bunch of older Nissan's. Unfortunately they didn't have any CA18DE/5 speed combo's, and the only CA18DE/auto I found they wanted $400 for the car. However, there was a '92 Sentra with a GA16DE that they would part with (complete car) for $200 and they'll make sure we can hear it run before selling it. How difficult are the adjustments to make the motor mounts work? I know the trans would need to be swapped, but it's coming with the motor so that's not a big deal. What about axleshafts, clutch (I didn't notice if the Sentra had a hydro of cable clutch), etc...? For wiring, we'd try to keep it as simple as possible, possibly using a MegaSquirt ECU or just taking a lot of time with the wiring. Given that this is a complete car, what other major expenses would there be?

hey man i just did the swap on my 89 pulsar sedan that originally came with the e-13, i think that the chassis is the same to the b-12 , the only mods i had to do was one engine mount the one at the right , and the intake since i didn't have the ecu and the wires i installed a carburator intake along with a holley carb , if you have any question ask?
