i just wanted to know why my engine has to crank so much during a cold start or when ever i leave it for a while. It usually takes about 3 seconds for the car to start.
is this just my car or all GA's, i just wanna know because i want my car to start like most others, with just a quick turn of the key.

my 92 1600NX starts instantly, first turnover in any weather. I live in Winnipeg, Canada, with winter temp at -20c (that's -10 farenheit or something), so I can say "any weather" with authority!
Originally posted by Da91NX mine had until 2 days ago. It turned out to be a coolant temp sensor. Also got back some fuel milage that i was missing.
How much was that sensor? Mine may end up needing to be replaced. My diver side fan on the radiator isn't coming on. Right now I believe it to be the fan itself being the problem, but that sensor is my second suspect.

Maybe this is a related problem. My car just quit. Worked great and then just quit. Replaced plugs, wires, distributor, ox sensor & fuel filter. It has spark & fuel and tries to fire but doesn't quit make it. Any suggestions?
