MAF Replacement

alright, my 200sx has a plastic MAF with the 4 prong 3 wire connector. I have the 4 prong 4 wire connector and the metal MAF. i want to swap them (yes, because my plastic one took a shit so my idle is all messed up) the question is, the 2 wires are twisted together and in a plastic sheating by themselves, i hook those 2 same wires up, i know that, and the 3rd one thats by itself, but the question is, on the 4 prong 4 wire one, where does the extra wire go? do i just not hook it up or pull it out of the connector or what? thanks.

It may be an additional ground. I would use a multi-meter to probe the wires and figure out what it is.

I would look for a used plastic MAF if you can, it will be much easier overall.
