AC comes on with cooling fans
Hi,
I have Nissan Sunny 1999 with GA14 engine. Last week AC went off, had it checked with an electrician and he told that the compressor coil and the wiring from relays is burnt.
Had him replace the coil and then he opened the wiring casing pipes and cut/replace/taped many wires. But somehow somewhere he probably missed one wire and AC didn't come up. So he put a jumper from the nearby relay for COOLING FAN 2 to AIR COMP relay (inside the relays box).
The AC started working. It switches on/off properly with the dashboard switch and inside temperature. But the weird thing is that IT ALSO SWITCHES ON WITH THE RADIATOR COOLING FANS WHEN THE ENGINE HEATS UP. So in the winter when I will not need AC it will still give me AC cold air when engine cooling starts.
My question is:
Is it ok to leave the wiring as it and let the AC come up with the Cooling Fans. Anyway, engine does cool down in a minute so does the AC compressor.
Or it's dangerous for the compressor as I live in hottest place on earth, Dubai !!! And if so, does anybody has clue where to find wiring diagram for the AC Relay?
Cheers !!!
