Hotshot/Stromung

Okay, I have bought the header and the intake. Roughly how long does it usually take to process and ship for them? I bought directly from their website as I seen it say in an old thread.
I do not have a cat underneath, as it was removed several years ago (2001). Not sure why except that I didn't know what I was doing back then and let the mechanic who put on the aftermarket exhaust and pipe take everything off. I am getting the Stromung 2" exhaust from Mossy, but had another question about that. Do I need to get another cat? I will go with Random Tech's if I have to. I ask this because if I get the one with the resonator, will I need the cat or is that what the resonator is? I get confrused when it comes to this and not sure why other than vapor lock on the brain stem.

You technically HAVE to have a cat. Its illegal not to have it on your car if had one stock. I would go ahead and get one from Random Tech like you were thinking. And no, the resonator is not a Cat. Its pretty much a glasspack. Its used to control the noise and make it sound more better.

Does it take that long some times? I thought if you ordered directly from them it was sposed to eliminate that. What would make the deal not go through? I went through the website, ordered thru paypal, made the payment. Everything should be good to go right?

Technically being the operative word here. This was done back in 2001, so due to my ignorance of our systems and the mechanic's initiative, it seems the cat from underneath was removed. The one one from up front is still in place for now.
I will be going with a RT cat. (Liu check you pm's.)
That being the case, for a deep throaty sound (kinda like magnaflow's for the 2.5) http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/spo...ntralaunch.htm, would I want the resonator or no? I thought someone had suggested no resonator before and I was wanting to make sure before buying it.

Now for all all this, install level of difficulty is:

Went to a DIY shop, put her on the lift and looked at her closely. I definitely have to take pics, but I don't think the meckanik chopped my exhaust. Looking at the pipe, I remember there was no welding up front for the O2 sensors and both O2 sensors are in place: one on the header/pre-cat, one in a regular pipe underneath.
Plus everything has a uniform coat of corrosion whereas the aftermarket has less corrosion. This newer pipe starts after the front sway bar. Where would the other cat have been? As a non-CA car, would there have been a 2nd cat or resonator? This is all moot as I am ordering an RT cat soon, but just trying to make sure I am not going completely bonkers.

This is going to sound rude, but how on earth are we supposed to tell you when or how long it will take for your stuff to ship? I mean in this day and age of the internet have people forgotten how to use the phone? You didn't even tell us who you ordered them from...

Yes you will need a cat to make it all work. Check out NPM project 1.6 turbo. There is a back issue that covers the stromung install.

Your honesty is refreshing in this day and age and no, you are not being rude. I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off these last few days. I got home from Iraq in Nov. and just found out I am going back again in a few weeks or less. I had just ordered the CAI and header from Hotshot's website and, during all the crap from the wife and kids and work and school, I did not take a moment to think straight. All I could think about was, " I hope my parts come in on time." To be honest, I never thought about calling them. My mind was in another place already and believe it or not, thanks, cus I had to pause for a moment and think, who is this 'mofo'?, and then I was like, he is right. Time to take a break. I will be ordering a cat this weekend.
So that is why I had asked about how long they took. But I will get on the phone in the a.m. and find out. One good thing about going back over is everything is paid for so I can save up and get everything I want for my ride when I get back.
And Wes, for real, bro, thanx.
