I am trying to find out the difference in the SR20 and GA16 fuel injectors. I have a 92 sentra XE. The car is going lean when the temperature gets cold. That is affecting my consistency. I use the car as a daily driver and a weekend bracket racer. I have never changed the injectors and the car has 302,000 miles on it.
What i am wanting to know is will SR20 injectors work on the GA16DE? If so what will I have to do to get them to work. I also saw where someone said something about the 95 and up GA16 fuel injectors being a higher flow. What is the flow on the newer GA16 injectors vs the SR20 injectors vs my stock 197 injectors?
I'll take a stab on it. I don't think so because the intake manifolds are different. There is no way that the GA16 fuel injectors are higher flowing than the SR20. Why would a 1.6 need higher flowing injectors than a 2.0? Maybe wes can chime in on this. I can be wrong on the whole thing.
The sr injectors will swap right in place but the car will run horribly rich. They are 259cc vs the 185something that the GA16 injectors flow. The B13 GA injectors are known to have problems. Find someone with a nice set of used B14 GA16DE injectors and have at them.
I dont know how it would hurt the injectors. I have never used it on sentra though, however, I had sluggish power on my Saturn when I would hit the gas and put the lucas in there and after the 2nd tank of gas, I noticed a significant increase in power.
