Is it worth it to put money into this money to gain some HP i dont have the money for a swap for a new motor is the 1.6L a good motor forgive me i am not that knowledged on nissan motors. How much horsepower is the 1.6 puting out stock? I would like to have the SR20 but accorse no money for it? What are things i can do cheap to improve the performance other than Cold air intake and exhaust? And racing wise as far as accords and civics and crxs probes and other sport compact how does the 1.6L stand? Thank you for any help sorry if its posted in the wrong place.

First, try
www.sentra.net. and look through all of the mods listed for engine, drivetrain, suspension/brakes, etc.
And next time, there is a search forum tab in every subforum where you can type in ONE at a time your search terms. First off, type in ga16de specs or hp or torque, etc. Then after you find some threads with that term in RED, read! Then press back until you return to the search forums tab. Next type in cheap mods (no such things in my experience). And first of all, for the cold air intake and exhaust, those are like the cheapest things you can do for performance (powerwise). Other things tend to get a bit more expensive. I think the 1.6 stock is a good reliable motor for economy purposes, not for
racing. Although against similar hondas such as the civic, you can rely on the torque of the nissan more.
