Intake question

Looking for an intake for my 1995 Nissan Sentra GXE... on eBay the intakes either:

1) Come with just a MAF adapter and filter

or

2) Are a real intake, but have no mention of the MAF adapter.

And yes, I do know that the MAF is essential to the intake system so you cant just throw it off to the side, like it makes it look like they want you to do with the #2 package.

Therefore, should I buy an intake and then the MAF adapter seperate?

the MAF adapters are for short rams. So the filter can just bolt up to the MAF. the Ebay intakes really aren't worth the money. Get in the GB for the Place racing intakes. Go to the sponsor classified section and then go to Redline max's section. they are 129 shipped.

I have another old intake system that I would end up cutting up and welding to make a home brewed CAI system... I was just wondering why the other intake systems didnt come with the adapter for the MAF if its needed ???

If you really, really want to, and end up not buying the adaptor, just cut the MAF flange, sand it down, and there you go. That's what I ended up doing.

a "short ram" setup for that much, although it's WAI, is well worth the buck. and sounds better too.

Oh, and what is the sensor coming off the the MAF that would've gone into the intake box?

read my post. you use the "maf adapter" from the stock airbox, without sanding it down. kind of cool.
I'm not saying its badass, I'm not saying its going to fit WELL between the battery and the fender, but just look:
