EGR valve

Hi all
I am having a problem with my EGR valve. It for my 98 GA16.When I start the car it immediately dies. When I push the plunger on the bottom of the EGR valve the car runs as normal.

So I would like to remove the EGR valve and clean it. The problem with removing it is the nut is already crumbling apart from the heat, rust, snow and salt. I know this is common but I would like to know if only the nut is available to purchase somewhere. I don't know what type of thread it is (I know its also more than a regular nut).

Thanks for any help

I'm sure you could find the bolt somewhere out there from some Nissan parts place of some sort, but finding it and paying for it could end up costing you more then just pulling it out of some junkyard..

Also sometimes you can find a bolt that just happends to match somewhere else on the car, I mean obviously taking bolts from where they're supposed to be isn't the best policy but for example if you have an aftermarket intake you would have a few 10mm bolts left over..

Emmissions are not for another year or so. I priced out the tube from nissan for 40, and the valve for 133. I'm going to wait on this one.....
