Unhappy 200sx running rich

95 ..1.6 ..140k...cherry red little car.
had a ground problem...thanks to all who helped.
it was simply a matter of running a new ground strap from block to frame.
last problem...runs very rich...as in 4-6 mpg.
you can really smell gas when you get inside.
hesitates badly anytime you stab the throttle even remotely hard.
tried taking apart mafs to clean it... somebody on the net said this was possible...bad idea...had to get out the soldering gun to
get it back up and running.
suggestions?
thanks
joe

Try replacing the MAF ???

Dunno...Im sure someone else here knows better than I do. I just dived into fuel systems a week ago so Im still new to it. 4-6 mpg is a bit insane though.

I know awhile back I stuck a 10k ohm reistor in the maf connecter to trick the computer into giving me a little more fuel, well it did pretty much what your describing and burned my cat out. Yeah...dont do that.

mine's running rich too, but nothing like 4-6 mpg. my check engine lit up yesterday and i pulled out the error code, it's the rear heated O2 sensor.

replace the fuel filter, also check to see the injectors pulse rate (could be stuck open). Just put a screw driver on one end and put the other against your ear. it might be your fuel pump, which might need to be replaced
