guys this problem has me stumped, solid! the car runs fine and has no problems whatsoever when it runs, and it never dies out when youre running. the problem lies with the fact that when i turn my engine off and leave it for a while ( parked sa garage, parked sa mall, etc ), the engine doesnt start. after a few attempts the car idles roughly and then dies. after trying to start it again. it still wont start. its only gonna start after stopping attempting to start the engine for 5 minuites or so. this has happened to me for two times already within this week. what the hell is wrong with the car? thnx for the input guys
No idea... my car does the same thing. My GA16DE likes to be particular... I have to push the clutch all the way to the floor, leave it out of gear, and crank it. It takes usually about three times... with a little pressure on the accelerator cable, to get it started. After that, it fires right up and I have no problems. I think it might be my distributor... the engine currently has advanced timing on it.

My car does the same dame thing well from what i believe unles soemone can tell me otherwise when you press the gas pedal slightly while cranking over the engine it bypasses the iac valve which in turn if that valve is clogged you car should start when u depres the throttle slightly, although my car is very irratic with this starting concern i have posted this before and had no accurate leads in where to go but i also believe that the ga16de's have what you call a cold start injector or a fifth injector no respnoses on that yet either which if that was sticking or the regular 4 injectors were leaking then it would flood the car out when trying to start it! i dunno im in the same boat as all the rest of you guys !
