hey everyone.. i was looking around online, through sites, and i have seen that when cai, headers, new cat, and muffler, it only added 10 hp... if im not mistaken it should add almost over 35..... the dyno's dont lie.. i think that the companys are lying to us
Why would these companies be interested in telling the truth when they can make a sale instead? It also matters where these mods make the power, they may only make 1 peak hp, but 5 in the middle of the powerband. Peak hp is not important, it's the area under the curve, the nice fat powerband that you want.
ah, good idea, thanks for sharing, I suppose it might only show 10HP gain.. but its a constant 10 at every end. high, low, and mid. so maybe alltogether, its equals up to about 30ish.. hmmm.... quite interesting
also note when manufacturers post power gains, pay attention to break horsepower or rear wheel horsies, 10 to 15 gains with simple bolt-ons is normal, it when you go deeper into the engine that you break the horsies free, or just get a big nasty turbo and support the bottom end, clutch, drivetrain, halfshafts, and so on....
