The fuel filter is on a clip next to the master cylinder. You'll need to depresurize the fuel system (take fuel pump fuse out, start the car untill it dies then turn it over 4-5 times to make sure there's no gas left). Then you need to remove the filter from the clip, remove a couple of bolts holding the fuel lines in, remove the lines, hook them up to the new filter, tighten the bolts, mount it on the clip and you're done (takes about 15 minutes). I'ts really important that you connect the line that goes to the fuel injectors to the "out" outlet and the one coming from the fuel pump to the "in" inlet (on the filter) and also have a spare t-shirt or rags to soak up any gas that might spill when removing the old filter.

very easy to replace, should near the fire wall.. when was the last time you did a tune up. you might also want to do new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor along with that fuel filter.

go to that post, its the b13 factory service manual. I dont know where the fuel pump is to be honest. but i know they are a little more work, but aren't too hard to replace.

The fuel pump is located in the tank. You have 2 optinions on replacing the pump if its the problem

1) Take out the lower porshin of the rear seat, then remove the cover to the pump.(4 10mm bolts)

2) Take the whole gas tank down and change out the pump.

Option 1 is probly the easiest. Hope this helps

check the injectors. I had to replace one a few months back.

option 1 is by far the easiest, seeing as how it takes all of 17 seconds to remove the bottom part of the back seat. you'll see two small plastic loops on the back seat near the floor. pull on those plastic loops, and the seat bottom pops right up. there's your fuel pump cover and harness. couldn't be easier.
