i'm excited to hear the hotshot turbo'd ga16de outperforms the naturally aspirated sr20de (at least in the preliminary testing phases). take a gander at the timeslip registry at se-r.net and sr20de's are pulling down 14 and 15 second quarter mile times. so, if the turbo'd ga16de is, indeed, faster...
...just imagine the possibilities!!
i'm the impatient sort. i can't wait to pull up on a honda with the turbo...

I re-read the most recent installment and I'm even more excited.
Assuming the average bolt on se-r makes 140 WHP and 130's TQ with some in the 150 range. The kit should be great. Stage 1 seems limited too, so stage 2 will promise even more performance. I see many low 14 sec. possibly high 13 sec. GA16 cars on the horizon.
ok, nvm dude, i was messing something up
with this trubo system however, it will remove stock catalytic converter? i know in ca there are two cats, but my model in canada has a cat and a resonator, which was removed during my cutsom exhaust job. would i need to get anew cat wheer the resoantor was? as for exhaust piping, what diametr is best?

im worried most about the tranny, wondering if it will hold up with the turbo. since your about doubling the power, i dont think it will hold. can anyone give me insight on this?
from what was said b4 in this thread the automatic will hold...but how can this be? i would really like to know for sure
does any body have the answers to my other questions?

I don't think you'll be doubling the hp... like Wes was saying before, if you refer back to it you're probably going to be at the border of what the auto can handle, meaning no turning up the boost before you address the tranny.

are manual trannys more durable the autos, saying if you treat it right and not dropping the clutch at like 5k rpms? i wish this project would go with a manual as well.

I said basically the same thing a few posts ago.
As fo the manual trans. Chef (Craig) has had no tranny issues as of yet with his turbo car. Just the clutch! Granted many of the tranny problems are attributable to the driver!
Thank you South Carolina!! I am sooo glad we dont have inspections. I run with no cat all the time and never have been caught. Sure i have been pulled but they never look under the car. For about a week I was running straght piped until I started goin DEF!
they have turbo kits for all cars!!! even an intercooled turbo kit for a ga16de!!!! fuel injectors and all. i have a hook up in miami (its location)email me for any help you need.
