you can't really bore our motor, the walls are very thin and you can only do it to lieka 1.7 or 1.69 which you would need custom pistons and rods, you are better off gettina new motor

You can do some easy upgrades to a GA16DE to bring the horsepower to about 125ish... well, that is what I got when I did these things (I have a '95 GA16 so results might be different with a '91-'94 GA16): Unorthodox crank pulley, slightly advanced timing, bored exhaust manifold, cold-air intake system, and some good spark plugs and spark plug wires. Depending on the model vehicle your GA16 is in, those simple upgrades can result in some ample acceleration increases. If you have a B13 or B14 Sentra or 200SX, results might vary slightly due to I have a '90 Sentra B12 with the GA16DE in it. For more drastic results, you can get JWT performance camshafts, JWT performance ECU, port & polished cylinder head (must do yourself), performance headers, KA24 fuel pump, KA24 fuel injectors, bored intake manifold... well, the list goes on. Needless to say, you can pull some ample power out of a GA16, though most will say just swap for an SR20.

a few things, do you have a dyno for those numbers, cuz a ga that has been fully done up, (hs header, hs cai, jwt cam, jwt ecu, port and polish, 2" exhaust, ur pulley, extrue honed IM) was only 132whp, you were prolly look more around 105whp. secondly, you dont need nor would you want the ka24 fuel pump or the ka24 inectors, they will server you no purpose.. the kid is better off gettin another ga and turboeing it or like you said doin an sr20 swap if he wants to be like everyone else
