I have a 1998 Frontier and the exhaust manifold up and cracked in half on me. I was told that this is a flaw in the design and that aftermarket manifolds are available. I have pondered buying anther one from a junk yard, but I'm afraid the same thing will happen. Is this true and where could I locate an aftermarket manifold.

96-98 Pathfinders had a warranty extension on the exhaust manifold through 100k miles. If you're under 100k you might see if someone knows if there was an extension for the Frontiers as well.
