I own a 2001 frontier and the other day in a snow storm i did the old wiper de-ice move, you know grab the wiper for a split second and let it go.

The result was that the wiper arm disconnected from it's post enough to not move but not enough to come completely off.

I looked at it for a minute and didn't want to start prying and damage it further...what's the secret it doesn't want to come off or go back on.

There are some other wiper arm notes in here like this.
You likely just need a screwdriver to pop the plastic cap
up on the end of the wiper arm (pry up from the end I think).
Under the cap should be a nut (I will guess 15mm) that tightens
up the arm onto a
tapered, splined shaft. Move the wiper arm into the corrent
position (same as the other arm), and then tighten the nut
up so it is snug. It might help to remove the nut and arm first to clean up any debris in the hole of the arm and the splined shaft (When it let loose
it probably shavd off a small amount of metal from the arm).

SPEEDO

follow the above steps but when you go to tighten the nut, lift the arm off of the windshield, tighten the nut then let the arm back down
