Question 05 Frontier 4.0 engine noises

Hi all, this is my first post.
My 05 Frontier has had from the get-go a "rap" at about 2200rpm, worse when cold. Runs fabulous, tons of power. Salesman says he has not heard similar in other 4.0s, service says no problem. Sounds like valvetrain to me.
Any input from owners, mechanics?
Thanks!

Check the truck and SUV section to see if anyone else has similar issues. Good luck.

no problems in mine so far (only 800 miles) but I'll keep an eye on it - ditto on the vote to take it back to the dealer..
