’03 3.3L XE- Gentle Idle Hiccup

At idle, there is a barely noticeable
bump/shudder/hiccup. The frequency between the bumps is
random. The intensity is stronger when in drive than in
neutral, and it doesn't always do it. I'm not sure how
else to describe it.

My check engine light is not on, and there are no pending
codes. The truck runs fine when not at idle, no
noticeable loss of power, but I think I might be getting
slightly worse gas mileage than normal.

It seems like an ignition problem to me, but the plugs
and wires are new. Not sure what else to suspect. Coil
maybe?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

VG engines, especially the VG33E, were known to have some issues with rough idle or hesitation due to dirty fuel injectors. Try a profession fuel injection service (like 3M's or BG's) to clean out the injectors and see if the problem is corrected. Could be ignition related, as you mentioned. Check your secondary ignition system and, if necessary, replace parts with geniune Nissan parts or NGK.

The plugs are NGK, and the wires are 8.8mm Accel. But I will try the injector cleaning. I was sort of thinking that too
