Street truck

How about using the rear end of a nissan murano or nissan rogue for a independant rear suspension rear. Or just using the frame from either of those Cross over Suv's and putting the truck body on it? Is that totally crazy or what?

The Nissan crossovers are unibody type construction. They do not have separate frames. Why worry about putting an IRS in Frontiers? Frontiers are light to medium haulers and an IRS is not as well suited for load hauling as a solid rear.

Why waste the money and time to modify a Frontier in this manner when many better Datsun/Nissan performance platforms exist, e.g. 240Z early Datsun 510, 240SX? To answer your question, it is totally crazy unless your goal is to build a "ricer" truck.

yeah I can see that. I was just impressed with the Frontier body style extended cab short bed was what I was looking at. I have been thinking about the 240SX frame. Only reason I considered the murano was for the all wheel drive powertrain. I figured that would be sick for time attack. I am still trying to iron out the details to get to a plan. Thanks for the input.
