Metallic "clink" sound shifting into 2nd
My 08 Frontier's AT makes a metallic clink upon shifting into second, as if it is somehow not getting released smoothly from first gear. It only happens upon starting off after sitting, and it only happens when the truck is moving forward. The sound is not loud, nor is it getting louder, but it is consistent, and it just shouldn't be there. We tow a small travel trailer about 2,500 miles each fall, so naturally I'm concerned that some problem may be developing with the tranny. Our Nissan dealer just closed in my town, so I'm hopeful someone here can advise.
