Hello

New to the forum.

I have a 2006 Frontier with a 4.0 V6.

I was thinking about changing plugs but only have 33,000 on the original
ones.

My question is how do you change the Number one plug ?

Do you need a special tool ?

Or should I just leave them alone for another 30,000.

I wanna say that the plugs in the 4.0s are 100K mile plugs? No need to change them so soon...

I pulled one easy to get to plug ,and it looks new.

I agree that they do not need to be changed yet.

But the number one plug looks like the manifold was installed after the plugs and
coil pack wer installed.

I like to do what seems simple jobs myself.

Don't know about this one.

yeah the plugs that are in there are supposed to be good up to 100K depending on your driving. plus most of your fluids to

Nissan uses platinum-tipped spark plugs that aren't recommended for replacement until 105,000 miles. It's best to stick with NGK spark plugs in Nissans and I usually find that they are cheaper from the dealer than from the local auto parts store. Your truck uses NGK #PLFR5A-11 (Nissan P/N: 22401-5M015 MSRP: $11 ea.) gapped at 1.1 mm. Do not re-gap the plugs after they've been run.

For the right side bank, you have to remove the intake manifold collector in order to access the coils and plugs...which is another good reason to wait until 105,000 miles!
