2003 Nissan Frontier - Gas Smell at start / heater

Hi,

I picked up a used Frontier (2003 XE 4x4 Crew Cab) a while back. One thing that has struck me as strange is that when starting it up there is often a gasoline smell pushed through the heater... especially when the heater fan is set to high. This is definitely a raw gas smell, not an exhaust type smell. It runs and starts fine / drives like new.

I have no idea what would be causing this or even where to look.

Anyone had something like this happen? Any ideas what to check?

Thanks.
Spencer
