Annoying squeaking

Got and 01 4x4 Frontier. When I go over a bump or something my frontend makes a high pitched squeaking noise. I can actually make it squeak just by jumping on the running boards and shaking it on the left side. Anyone have a clue of what this might be?

i had the same issues on my 01 frontier...the squeaking is coming from the polyurethane bushings under your front end on your sway bar (atleast on my truck that is where the bushings are...and they are red)...these bushings tend to dry out and can be "fixed" momentarily by squirting some silicone-based lube in them...however this does not fix the problem very long for me. i agree that the squeaking is very annoying...however...the upside is that it is not a major issue...hope this helps

Try spraying brake fluid on it it will not detoriate the rubber and is it's a good lubricant

Be careful with the brake fluid (DOT 3 or DOT 4) near painted surfaces. It will attack and strip paint. DOT 5 is a silicone oil. I'm not sure that it will attack paint but it is probably a safer choice (for areas around finished surfaces).

Thanks for the info, I forgot to mention about the brake fluid on the paint
