Squeak when going over rough roads

Just an FYI, I've had a very annoying squeak (like a squeaky mattress spring) coming from what sounded like my front left suspension whenever I'd go over slightly rough roads. It seemed to be affected by the weather because it didn't do it in hot weather as much. Anyway, I took the truck in while it is still under warranty, and it turns out that my front bumper was causing the squeaking. He said the bolts just needed to be retorqued. I haven't heard anymore squeaking so far.

I never would have thought of that, so maybe any of you who might be experiencing something similar can get some use out of this post.

Mine does the same thing and I asked my mechanic and he said it was just the bushings in the front end. Said that they dry out alot on those models but which bolts are you talking about?

I didn't actually tighten them myself, but I assume he was just talking about the bolts that hold the bumper in place. The bushings would make sense too, but I only have 34K miles on my truck. If the bushings were drying out that quick, I'd be upset. But they would still be covered by warranty.

I have a 2005 Frontier and mine was doing the same thing. What an annoying squeak! Anyhow, I spent about 30 minutes with some tools and tightened every bolt and nut I could find and it's a lot better now. I love my truck, but it seems to be one thing after another with it and I'm about to take it in for the 4th time for the tensioner pulley squeaking. Sorry for rambling.....
