**Please Help**

I am new to the forum and would like to thank in advance anyone who is willing to help. I drive a 2006 Nismo Crew Cab and I have a few issues. First of all I know a lot of people who have the body style frontier like mine have issues with the rubber plugs under the hood squeaking. I have taken my truck multiple times to the dealer with results only lasting for a few days. Also I have a very annoying sound from the back seat every time I turn or go over a bump. Kind of sounds like a door squeaking. I just purchased a Westin Bull guard and I believe they send me the wrong one because the guard has brackets vertically and the frontier only has bolt supports horizontally. I think you must remove the tow hook to bolt it on but the brackets are still facing the incorrect way. Does anyone have any ideas or guidance on what to do? One more quick thing can you fit a gauge in the circular spot in the dash where the 4X4 switch goes? Thanks again!

I would try putting some silicon grease on the rubber plugs. You can get it any auto parts store.

As for the Westin Bull Guard, I would make sure you have the correct part number, first. If it is, or you have more problems, Westin has a technical support hotline:

800.793.7846 Mon-Fri between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM CST

Their website is:

Westin Automotive

Squeeks can be a tough issue to deal with even when you do have access to the vehicle, let alone on an online forum. Are you within your warranty for squeeks and rattles or was a complaint made to the dealer about it in the warranty timeframe? If so, I would suggest taking it back to the dealer or contacting Nissan's customer service hotline for assistance. Unless they've changed it, it should be:

1-800-NISSAN-1

Remember, the best way to be able to have your noise diagnosed and corrected is to demonstrate the noise to the service manager or (better) the technician that will be working on the vehicle. The best way to do that is to go on a road test and let them know what noise you are complaining about.

Thanks a lot man. I called Westin and It was just missing some mounting hardware. Took truck back to the dealership and left it overnight because they can’t find the squeak. Appreciate the help.
