Rear sliding window in Crew Cab - Rare?

I've been looking around at used 2000-2004 Crew Cabs. Are rear sliding windows a rare option? I need that for longer lumber that won't fit in the tiny bed.

I've personally never seen one. But you can have an after market put it in.

2000 - 2001 (I believe they only have the short bed 5ft'ers)
2002 - 2004 (have the 6ft'ers)

I looked a long time to find a 2003/04 SE - 4x4 CC w/long box. This was difficult because Michigan only has ford, chevy, dodge. I looked though the autotrader.com site every week for about six months.

I ended up getting the 2003 with 43,000 miles w/leather towing, roof rack, LSD, etc. The 2003+ has better gas mileage and more HP than the older frontiers.

I also have never seen a rear sliding window on a Crew Cab...along with looking for a long bed Crew Cab you can also get a bed extender which adds another foot and a half...just a thought

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone put a power sliding window in?

I have one suggestion if you are really needing room for long lumber.

Hauling stuff through the sliding rear window can be very dangerous. If you need to stop real quick that lumber will be shooting through the front window like a rocket. And if someone rear ends you they will not only get a dent in their car but a lap full of lumber.

I would suggest this. Get the long bed crew cab with a hitch then you can use this "hitch hand"

Hitch Hand "The Truck Bed Extender" - ATV at Off-Road.com

This is safer and would cost less than the rear window.

just my 2 cents

I think it was more standard on the '00 models than on the 01-04 models. I just bought an '00 and it has the sliding window.
