98 Frontier stereo removal
I've observed a few threads asking about stereo removal from Frontiers; here's what I did today for 98 Frontier stereo removal:
Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Remove ash tray.
Remove 2 screws under ash tray. Pull up and out on the console face, there are two clips near the top holding the top in.
Remove 4 screws holding the stereo assembly in.
Pull stereo and sunglass pocket out towards the rear about 6 inches; disconnect antenna and two wiring harness plugs (press in on lock tab) from its rear (front of truck).
Remove 4 screws (2 on each side) holding stereo into the brackets for stereo and sunglass pocket.
Reverse to re-install.
