I get between 340-360 miles per tank in my 1998 Frontier with a 4 cyl and 5 speed. It has a 15.5 gallon tank and averages 23-24 MPG city. I run 45PSI of air pressure in the tires which are Cooper Lifeliner Touring SLE's in the original 215-65-15 size.I also run Mobil 1 synthetic oil in 10W-30.I once swithced to 235 60 15's, but they dropped fuel economy to 21-22 MPG so I switched back on my next set.

Holy crap! You get great miles per tank/gallon! I may switch the oil I use and maybe see if I get different results. I have 265/70/16 BFGoodrich tires on mine...
Just wondering whats the most miles you've got on one tank of gas? I think the highest I've ever got was 260...
The fuel light on my 2001 4 cyl., auto, king cab usually goes on at about 300 miles. It typically takes about 12.3 gallons of gas (15.5 gallon tank) at that time. The most I've seen on a tank is around 360 miles. I'm running standard size Michelins at about 30 psi and 5W30 Chevron dino oil. One help is the hard tonneau cover; I'd say it got me 1 to 2 mpg at highway speeds.

Part of the reason mine is that much better is that it is a lighter truck with a smaller engine and less rolling resistance from the tires.Simply switching from a 215 65 15 to a 235 60 15 (same height, 20mm wider) decreased my fuel economy 1-2 mpg.
Additionally, the wheel weight is a factor as it is harder to accelerate a heavier mass than a lighter one. Then there is the aerodynamic factor. All of the crew Cabs have a taller ride height than a base truck, which contributes to aerodynamic drag.

I usually drive all highway going back home on the weekends from school and its an 330 mile hike through Atlanta traffic and I have made it home with a little less than a quarter of an tank left. I have a 00 V6 4x4 with an K&N air filter system and flowmaster exhaust.
Yea I know that having the 265's is not helping my fuel economy at all...I have a K&N drop-in filter and was looking to get a gibson exhaust to try to help my miles to the gallon but a few of you mentioned having a flowmaster cat back system - how do you like it?
