body lift?

Is there a benefit to doing a body lift versus a suspension lift?

Also, I'm toying with an idea, I'd like to design a motorcycle ramp that extends out from underneath the bed of the truck sort of like the pull-out ramps on U-Haul moving trucks. I think lifting the body an inch would make some room for the parts under the bed.

body lifts allow for larger tires without raising the center of gravity to much and maintain the stock suspension. thats it.
