Can anyone give me a link to the ECM code list? My 05 Frontier V6 Check Engine light just began to blink this morning. I found the Test Mode Diagnostic instructions & will count flashes later, but need to know what the codes mean.
Just go to AutoZone to have the codes read apparently it's free.
If your CEL is blinking and not on steady usually means engine misfre. If you get your code(s) read you may have a P0300 and / or P0301 through 6.

The vehicle should be within the warranty period. I'd take it to the dealer as opposed to Autozone (although I'd actually read it myself with my OBD II reader).
I'm trying to avoid taking a day off from work to waste in the dealer waiting room. I reset it from code 0455. Apparently nobody has a list of codes or link to them, so if it comes back, I'll worry about it then.
I've found that if I can fix it myself, I'm ahead over having to rent a car & hassle with dropoff/pick up. A $200 part is cheaper than rental car for 2 days at the dealer & from past experiences, I'm not all that confident that any of my local dealers are that competent when it comes to actually diagnosing a problem correctly the first time.
When I'm told, that several parts were replaced, so "see if it runs ok & if there's any more trouble, just bring it back", I know they didn't diagnose anything, but just did the plug in, replace & pray routine.

Code P0455 is an "Evaporative Emision Control System Leak Detected" fault. This is most likely caused by a loose or bad gas cap.
Most OBD II codes are standardized. I just "googled" for this code. Also, try this URL:Nissan OBDII Code Chart
yea...i'm not sure that "nissan genuine service" is all it's cracked up to be either...
Not to give the impression that I'm a Nissan Service basher - as a long time Ford & Chebby owner, I can truthfully state that NONE of them are worth a squat.
The MFC on my Ranger crashed, giving the controller the impression that it was -45º on a 110º day. Ford simply said it's bad & a new one was $250 + $150 to install. 20 minutes in the parking lot with a small bag of cheap tools & I swapped it out & got my $50 core charge back. 3 months later it did the same thing. I told them that I'd pay for the testing hook up only if they found a fault, & skated on that charge, when the Diagnostic found no problems. When I bought a 2nd one, Ford Parts told me the warranty was good to the curb of the dealer's lot, unless THEY installed it.
I then took it to my neighborhood mechanic, who not only installed it, but forwarded a 4 page printout of his findings to Ford. He not only got me my money back for the 2nd bad flow controller, but Ford paid his labor to install the new one. NOW --- just see if a dealer would go to bat for you like that. I'm dedicating my life to avoiding dealer repairs & to dissing them as rip off artists every chance I get.
