Does anyone know how or have removed the rear crossbar on the '05 Rook racks?

It looks like it can be removed.
There are end caps, tork bolts.
I do not use it and would to remove it to reduce any drag and leave just the pipes.

If you're only taking it off to reduce drag then you prolly shouldn't waste your time. It creates so little drag in comparison to the form drag created by the entire front end of the truck that you'd never notice any difference. Very negligible drag created by the cross bar.
