04 Frontier, 3.3L w/ SC

I'm new here so pardon any poor ettiquette. I just bought an 04 Frontier. Only has 1500 miles on it... so it's basically brand new. I was rather surprised at the gas milage. Do you have any tips on increasing it... or know of a place I can get some advise. I ordered a K&N Air Filter... and I've lightened up on my right foot.

The best I have gotten so far is 17mpg on a 90 mile trip without the cruise control, averaging probably 80mph.

I used the cruise control on the outbound part of that trip and it would let the overdrive kick-in at every little hill. So on the outbound trip I only got 14.4mpg. On the return trip I didn't use the CC and got much better gas milage as the O/D never kicked in. Both ways I had the AC on as it was HOT outside.

Anyway... any tips would be great!

Matt

Get used to it. I have a 2003 LB/CC/SC and that sounds about normal. Try getting used to 9mpg while towing a boat...

That's about what I have found out. I can live with it. Just blind-sided me there for a second.
