New 2006 LE CC.. Need help with Sat Radio

Just traded in my 350z for a new white LE CC... I have Sirius sat radio in the truck from the factory, and I was wondering this... Im a big XM guy (love Opie and Anthony) and I want to order the XM control Module from Courtesyparts.com, but before I got spend 300 Bucks on the control unit, I wanted to make sure it will work with the Radio... I was reading on Courtseyparts that if the radio is pre-wired from the factory that it will work.. and I figure if I have Sirius now, all im really doing is swapping out the brains and using the same prewiring... has someone tried swapping out Sat Radio control units from one company to another.. and if so where you sucessful? Any help would be great... I miss my Z already, but getting my XM back up and running in the new truck would be great.

That's actually pretty cheap for the factory Nissan unit. Sounds much, much, MUCH better than any of the FM modulated units. Think CD quality sound vs. FM radio. You can also use the factory head unit to control/tune the sat. radio.

Yes, NBFD706, the XM unit will work. It should be plug/play... just disconnect the wiring for the box right by your left leg and plug the new one in.

What about the Antenna? should that be Plug and play... or will I have to mess around with that you think?

Hmmm... I don't have the factory sat. radio kit, so I can't say for sure. I went to coutesyparts.com and looked at the picture for both, and I can't tell if the connector is the same or not. My first instinct was to say it should be the same However, if it is, I don't know why there would be two different antennae for the XM and Sirius kits.
???

Why not just buy the receiver kit and see if it will fit up? If not, you could probably buy an aftermarket antenna that would be much better than the on-glass factory one!

Update, According to a local radio guy he wasn't "sure" if this could be done, rather then spend 300 bucks and find out the hard way, I was wondering if anyone has since tried this or knows someone who has swaped sirius pre-wired with a XM pre-wired, and if they had any success?

HELP

Still missing my Z
