HEY guys,
When i first buy my frontier, the RPM was somewhat normal reaching about 3-3.5, never able to hit 4.5-5.
But now after about 75k miles the RPM easily reachs 4-5!!
I still drive normaly, i dont puch it to hard at all.
What can be the problem?
How can i fix it?
What can i buy to take te strain off the engine?

Maybe I missed it, but is this a manual or an automatic transmission?
If it's manual, the clutch could be slipping.
Do the automatics use vacuum these days? If so, maybe a vacuum leak somewhere?

I think he's got an ATX. From the comment "never reaches 4.5-5", I would assume he means that under normal acceleration, the transmission is shifting at higer RPM than it used to.
Do the '04s learn shift points by driver habits? If so, resetting the computer may help out.

I do not think the ECU can learn enough to move a shift point 1,000 RPM. Something abnormal is causing the ATX to not shift at normal (for the load) RPMs. Did you do anything to the tranny recently such as change the fluid?
