Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with there 05' King cab models rear doors making a clunking noise when going around turns or bumps. I have had my truck a year and I have had it in to my dealer 6 or 7 times and all they can do is grease the hinges. This fixes the problem for a month or two then it comes back again. They can't find any real defect in the hinges so the refuse to replace them under warranty. I contacted Nissan USA and they are now handling the problem. Any feedback would be appreciated.
The rear driver's side door on my KC is squeaking now, too. I thought about trying to adjust it myself, as the dealership is an hour away. I have a couple of other squeaks and rattles, though, so I might just call ahead and try to schedule a day to get it all fixed.
I contacted NissanUSA on this matter since I am getting no where with my dealer. They are suppose to be contacting me back about resolving this matter. They just greased the rear doors a month ago and they are starting to do it again. Makes me want to trade for a crew cab, I would just miss the bed space. Thanks for the help. That service bulletin on refinishing the bedliner is interesting. Mine is getting a chalky color to it so maybe I should hit them up for that.
Nissan USA got back with me today. They said they forwarded the problem to the engineers to try to figure out a fix. They think it is from body flex, not sure I agree totally but I guess it could be the culprit. If you all are having this problem, contact Nissan directly and let them know, maybe they will come out with a TSB to fix all of them.
no squeaky doors yet, but squeaky springs and bumper somewhere. Accoustical tape lasted until one trip to St. Louis. Live in Mid Missouri, maybe is just a Missouri thing!!!!! 2005 Frontier Crew cab here with 4,000 miles! More noise than my 2000 Frontier Crew!
