My suggestion would be to buy a set of stock rims off of eBay. They're all over the place (although most are SE rims. However, I have seen a couple of sets of LE rims and a set of NISMO rims in the last month).

Then, you could take your time with them and if it doesn't work, you haven't messed up your wheels.

If it DOES work well, you could sell your stock ones on eBay and make up most of the cost.

MrFancypants painted a pretty accurate picture of the process. I used to polish small pieces when I was showing cars, but it was worth the money for me to not go through the mess and the aggrevation at this point in my life.

Using the spare is a good idea as you can continue to drive your truck during the process of polishing your wheels. That is what I did and I am glad as it took about 2 weeks to do all four wheels. Of course the polisher had to work in other better paying jobs as he went.

Actually to buy a set of quality wheels it would probably cost about the same any way. You can sell the stock wheels, but from what I have seen the LE wheel is not very popular and probably would not bring a very good price.

Gerald,
Thanks for the info. Would there be any way you could get a sound clip? How much did it cost, and where did you purchase it? Also, the grille. I like that one. I've been lookin for one also. Havin a hard time tryin to figure out which one I like. It seems like yours a lil bit different than the ones I was lookin at. Most of them were billet grilles though so I'm not sure if that is what you got. Also, this is really a dumb question, but where can I actually find out the exact color name. There are no codes or stickers anywhere on the inside of the door or anythin. I tried goin to the official nissan web an I got two colors aztec red an red alert, so i'm not sure which one to get cause I plan on gettin some body moldin. I appreciate it.

According to your information, you have an '06 SE. The Aztec Red was only available on the 2005 models. Red Alert was a new color for the Frontier on the 2006. In the '06 SE, there are two colors -- Red Alert and Red Brawn. The Red Alert is the "redder" of the two colors. Red Brawn is a dark burgundy-type red.

Since you described your color as "red" and not "burgundy" or "maroon", I'm pretty certain you have the Red Alert.

FYI -- your original window sticker will have the name of the color if you still have it.

NoLa06,

I got my exhaust from Kinney's Muffler Shop in Bedford, TX. It cost $583.75, but $150
of that was for the double wall stainless steel tips with a lifetime warranty on them. I think he does the standard system for about $395 with the chrome tips.

I do not know how to do sound clips. Someone else asked also and I posted a notice for one of the other 2 members from the OKC area if they could do a sound clip for me. No response yet.

My grill is a Carriage Works product that is made of billet aluminum. It is pretty sturdy and I am very pleased with it. They also make one that looks just like mine except it has a cutout for the Nissan logo if you like that style better.

Someone has a thread on a $35 Ebay grill that looks just as nice as mine from the pictures I have seen. If they are as nice as they look that would be the way to go.

My truck has a sticker in the door that lists the color code along with all of the other major components on the truck. I thought it was mandatory that all new vehicles have this sticker. I would ask the dealer why it is not present.

Nissan should be able to tell you what color your truck is by giving them the VIN number.
If they give you any trouble call your insurance agent and see if he can help you. My agent takes my VIN number whenever I take out a policy on a new vehicle. He probably can get the color code as well. It is on the left side of the sticker at the bottom just above the axle code.

By the way, no question is dumb except the one that is not asked.

All right, I just got washing it an found the sticker by the door. I never realized it when I was gettin in an out of the truck. I think the code was A20. I'll have to save up a little more for an exhaust system I believe, I knew they were expensive, but I got the note to worry bout this month along wit insurance so the exhaust will have to wait a little while longer. However I did just purchase a grill. It's a 2005 2006 Frontier Billet Grille 227 with the bumper grill included an no logo cut out. Made with aluminum. I would hope the next thing for me to get would be the molding. If I can figure out how to post pictures on here I'll do that. Thanks for all the help fellas, the more I get, the more likely I'll spend money I dont have, but I'll have fun doin it.

NoLa06,
A20 is Red Alert. A15 would be for Red Brawn.
