Serive Engine Light and MAF sensor question

I was replacing the air filter in my 05 Frontier. I had the MAF sensor disconnected and after replacing I forgot to plug back in and I reconnected it while the engine was running. Now my service engine light is on. I dont know if maybe something was fried or if it will reset itself after a few starts. I read somewhere that certain things will cause the light to come on and it will reset after 40 starts. Does anybody know anything that might help. Is there another way to reset?

Unhook your battery and leave overnight.

I did the exact same thing - lol. I just drove it. It will reset itself after getting a good signal. Mine reset within the day after driving into town (~15 minutes away)
