Can you retrofit the in cabin micro filter, or whatever they call it to an '06 SE?
Thanks, A.

It's my understanding all Frontier's come with the micro filter housing, and there should be no difference between the 05 and 06 model, so all you should have to do is pick up the filter and install it! Unless I totally missed what you were asking...

Yeah AFAIK the only thing you get for your $80 dealer installed microfilter option is 5 minutes of a tech's time to drop your glovebox and slide a $30 filter into the HVAC fan box.

Please don't flame me for bringing a link to a tacoma, but you could always try what this guy did. If anyone must know why I was looking at Tacomas, it was to check out his headlight mod...lol

My '05 LE KC did not come with the filter. I went to the dealer and got a filter and installed it myself. It fit just fine and the parts guy gave me a nice discount.

I think yournissanparts.com have the filters for about $23.00, and that's before the 10% discount... Sometimes the dealership tends to be a bit high (unless you have someone on the inside looking out for you!)...
