Hello all, I like the new design of the site. Anyways, to the point. I have a 6disc in-dash cd changer. I have a 05 crew cab and the stereo is from an 05 king cab. I was going to get the PAC AAI-NIS2 to connect my IPOD to the stereo but after being lied to buy the company I ordered from and gettting a refund after 3 weeks of them jerking me around, I decided to spend twice as much and get the nissan adapter. I dont have the satalite wiring harness in my truck.
Can the adapter connect right into the location on the back of the 6disc? I would like to be sure just incase.
Can anyone recommend either a place to get this adapter or a different adapter thats cheaper. The PAC was 90 and this one is 200, I dont really want to spend that much on it.
Thanks.

I didn't know that the King Cabs could get the 6 disc changers. Just out of curiosity, why was your head unit installed with the King Cab changer? Was this some dealership "finagling"?
Since your head unit is from the King Cab, you don't have the satellite input. I don't think that is an option on the King Cab, even if you have the 6 disc changer. Therefore, as our esteemed friend MSUBullyFan said in your last post, your only options are either an FM transmitter, or an FM modulator. Even if you do have the 6 disc head unit.
I believe you need to have the satellite pre-wiring in order to use the OEM interface. I have one installed and it connected to a harness already mounted near the hood release lever.
I originally had the PAC adapter, but really wanted to be able to control the ipod throgh the head unit. The PAC worked great otherwise. Which would just plug into the back of the 6-disc changer.
I am not sure if the head units are different between the King and the Crew cab for the satellite radio, but if you find the PAC will work with your head unit, I still lhave the PAC adapter sitting in a box in the basement, only was installed in the vehicle for about 5 months. It is the first model, not the second. PM me if you are interested.

brain, the 6 disc was the standard in the king cab. The guy i talked to on another forum was putting in a new unit and sold it to me. It is satalite ready but since he didnt get the sat. package, he didnt have the wiring harness.
Slubgub, i was told on another forum that the PAC AAI-NIS2 would work with the stereo I got. I actually prefer to control the music through the ipod, I can select specific songs faster while still listening to the one playing, thats why i was looking for the PAC.
Did you notice any issues with it at all? I have read about odd noises coming from it when you turned on/off the truck. Can you recommend a place? Everyone I visited was sold out or didnt carry them.

Ok. I stand corrected then. I guess I didn't know as much about the options on the King Cab as I thought I did. Perhaps someone who has dealt with the head unit more than I have can help.
With that said, I thought that the wiring harness for the satellite radio was included with the head unit. I have not seen any separate wiring harnesses for sale.

When I had the PAC installed, it connected directly to the back of the radio in the satellite jack, and the plus that was there went into the adapter. So I guess it was the pre-wiring, but I think that was just incase you wanted to have satellite pass through the adapter. If you did not have the satellite, I do not see why it would matter. All the sound is coming through the PAC unit so if you have the jack on the back of the head, theoretically, it should work.
As for the unit itself, it sounded good. I heard no strange noise when using the ipod. Only thing I did notice is that the volume was lower than a CD. I did also notice that after I installed the interface it did sound better. The bass was more pronounced, and the volume issue was gone.
Go to www.yournissanparts.com, call their 800 number and ask to talk to Brian, tell him Paul sent you! He should be able to help answer your questions, or at least direct it to on of the techs in their shop and get back to you. Also, once you decide which interface you want, and if you decide on the Nissan Interface, you can order it through yournissanparts.com and enter the coupon code "clbttn" at checkout and get an additional 10% off the price of the interface kit!
