speakers

Does anyone have any suggestions on which brand/ type of 6x9 speakers fit
in the front doors of the 06 Frontier. Looks as if they are a hard fit ,I have looked on Crutchfied - only 2 will fit , Circuitcity - no fit , Bestbuy-no fit . etc......

i dropped in some pioneer 4-way 6x9s my friend had lying around. i had to kind of make them fit, but it wasnt too hard. the stock 6x9s are mounted to a plastic spacer with four screws. the pioneers i installed was slightly larger, but i was able to coerce it in while still using the existing screw holes. i'm sure you could go with whatever 6x9 you wanted to without much fuss regardless of what crutchfield, circuit city, best buy, etc says. they are not always accurate and up-to-date. aftermarket replacement speakers have many mounting holes in them to allow them to be able to drop in almost any application. hth.

I installed some Kenwoods...can't remember which model...and they fit perfectly into the stock spacers. Now the 6.5's in the back of the king cab are a different story!

I actually used the alpine 6x9's crutchfield recommended, they sound good, real good.
