Helper Spring Mod

Saw this on another forum and I thought it is something that would be good to do. Apparently Titan owners have been doing this and they all had positive feedback after performing this mod. These helpers springs looks like are installed in front of the rear axel to act like traction bars instead of what it was designed for (increasing your load carrying capabilities). The cost is quite cheap also. Now I just need to find a auto parts store that has them nearby and give it a try.

Isn't anybody making some real traction bars for our Frontys?? I have seen a couple different types for Titans but so far nada for ours.

To see what I'm talking about, check out: http://www.jamesduff.com/broncoII/tracbar.html

See what I mean?? I had a set of the over-rider bars on my old Ranger. The price has gone up a little but is still pretty cheap for what you get. It was a really nice, cheap mod that made a huge difference with the truck. I would buy a set of these in a second if somebody is making/selling them for Frontys. Anyone??

Hey, I recognize that truck! They seem to be working pretty well so far, even notice a bit better in the cornering department! Those Classic Traction Bars for the Ranger may work if the axle brackts are the same!

Read all 10 pages of the thread over at titantalk or however many it was, looked like a good idea.

I just did it. Install took an hour, but I have a bad back, and took my time. If you did it quickly, you could prolly manage it in 20 minutes....

Now I can go over the speed humps in my nieghborhood at 65 instead of just 40
Went offroading yesterday, I need to check and make sure they held up over that....
