brakes

ok so my brakes feel like they fade. i took them off and measure them they are god. no sqeuks or anything. but they feel shotty. is this normal in this truck. it has 24K miles on it origional brkaes. now this may be me cuase my last car had 4 piston up front and 2 piston slotted/vented 12"/10" rotors and hawk perfomance pads. am i insane? i already bought power slot rotors and pads for the fronts. i have to take it to a place to get the rears done i hate doing drum brakes.

'77 Corvette, four piston calipers all the way around; stopped GREAT! Stopping power seems fine on my '04. But, I didn't drive the Corvette or my truck hard enough to ever notice if fade was an issue. Were the pads glazed any? Post how you like your new setup. Heck, if you have the time, find a nice empty area and do some measured 60-0 runs before & after, that'd be great info.
